Mr. Magee is a Partner in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on the group's commercial finance platform. He is a member of the Ares Credit Group's Commercial Finance Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2018, he was a Partner, Managing Director and a member of the investment committee of HCAP Advisors, the external manager of publicly-traded business development company, Harvest Capital Credit Corporation. At Harvest, Mr. Magee originated, structured, underwrote and monitored primarily debt investments in lower middle market businesses. Previously, Mr. Magee was a Vice President at Patriot Capital Funding and GE's Global Sponsor Finance group. Mr. Magee holds a B.S., summa cum laude, from Bucknell University in Business Administration. Mr. Magee is a graduate of the Financial Management Program at GE Capital.
